Care and support

Experience truly holistic care

Georges Estate is committed to the pursuit of excellence in the provision of care and accommodation to the aged in our community.

Making the move into residential aged care is often a period of great change, and we are committed to making the transition as stress-free as possible. When it comes to care, we actively embrace what makes every person unique – from personal preferences to cultural differences and hobbies. We care for people from all walks of life, and work hard every day to ensure that every individual in our care feels safe and secure.

It is our mission to provide care that enables people to live their life the way they choose, focusing on a relationship-based care approach, attending to a person’s physical, emotional, social, cultural, spiritual, financial and environmental wellbeing.

You can be sure that you or your loved one will be well-looked after by our compassionate and dedicated care teams, with the added peace of mind of 24-hour care by registered nurses, who are supported by a dedicated inter-displinary care team.

Philosophy of care

We believe that our customers are entitled to the highest standards of care, a comfortable, secure and home-like environment and an optimal quality of life.

We work to create an environment that’s loving, caring and supportive through the implementation of a continuous care community model, building community both within and outside the home.

Types of care

Our accommodation and care offerings consider the varying needs of older Australians and include high and low care options for individuals and couples; specialised care services, including dementia care, respite care and home care services for those that choose to remain in a community of their choice for as long as they are able to do so.

Accessing Residential Aged Care

We know that the move into an aged care home can be a very emotional time.

There are a number of steps that you should take to find the right home for you. To help you with this transition, we have mapped out the steps for you and provided some useful tips of what to look for when you are evaluating different aged care facilities.

ACAT Assessment

One of the most important steps in accessing Aged Care services is receiving an ACAT Assessment. This evaluation of your care is conducted by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) who are employed by the Australian Government to help determine the level of support you require.
