My father Maki has had a wonderful quality of life since he moved into Georges Estate, which he called it his home. From the first day he started to have so much fun .Every day was a blessing for him . He loved all the staff, enjoyed all the activities like painting, pet therapy, bus scenic drives, dancing, live concerts – always clapping away, smiling and lots of laughter. He loved sitting near the beautiful fire place in winter and enjoyed the garden on beautiful sunny days. He was loved so much by all the staff and cared for like a family member . Whenever I would arrive to pick up my father to take him out to lunch, it would take me at least half an hour from his room to the front door as he would stop and give hugs to the staff. He was a happy man in a beautiful place. It certainly gave me peace of mind knowing my father loved his home and was looked after in the best possible way. I have so many memories where I would visit my father and I would join him and other families and residents in the Easter parade, Australia Day, Anzac Day service, Greek Independence Day, Christmas day and so much more. He loved it all and so did I as I could spend that quality time with him in his home . I have so many beautiful memories videos and photos of my father’s wonderful life at Georges Estate. Thank you so much to every staff member for all your love and dedication that you give every day. I’m so blessed to have been a part of your Georges Estate Home.

“What is the point of being alive if you don’t at least try to do something remarkable? My family were very apprehensive about mum moving into care but knew it was inevitable. We chose Georges Estate initially because the facility was new, it was modern and the social media indicated that it was a place where the residents enjoyed being. After 3 months we are so happy that we chose Georges Estate because it is all of those things and more. While lovely surroundings are very important when transitioning into aged care and initially was our top priority, ultimately what matters most is the quality of care provided by the staff. We are so very happy that we chose Georges Estate as we can now see the staff are it’s greatest selling point. They allow us to relax knowing that mum is in their care. “From the moment we walked into Georges Estate and met Kyla, we knew this was the place where we wanted Margaret to call home. After doing the tour & discussing our options, we said to each other, “the facilities, décor & services are amazing, we just hope the level of care matches this, as the care is the most important part”. Well that certainly was the case, the care mum received during her time at Georges Estate well exceeded our expectations. The kind caring nature of the staff was more than we could have every asked for. The connection & bond that Margaret had with staff was beautiful to see & as a family we couldn’t have asked for more, the staff were like a second family to Margaret.”
